The locally based Humane Society (not affiliated with any other public or private charity) has been promoting veganism and compassion for all animals since 1988.  The group hosts the annual NOLA Veggie Fest and is looking forward to presenting our best Fest ever, for the 10th anniversary of the event. The Humane Society of Louisiana's programs include cruelty investigations and preventions, disaster relief, lifesaving adoption transports and more.  The charity also operates the Enoch J. Donaldson Animal Sanctuary in Mount Hermon, LA and provides daily care for goats, cats, dogs, horses and pigs.  All proceeds from this event will support the charity's lifesaving progams.
